I took an encaustic wax class because I was curious about the medium. Little did I know that I would struggle with the lack of control I had with the medium applying it with a brush. But I was stunned at the beautiful results I got when I relinquished control to the medium and let it do what it wanted only introducing my own thoughts on color and general placement. It’s an expensive medium but I will be exploring it further when it gets a little warmer outside.
